The Bay is steadily progressing. It 13 true that money is a little tight, but that, we hope, will soon be rectified. of the land-titles are being settled to tte satisfaction of both Maoris and Tne population is rapidly increasing, and tf o believe there is a great; future in store ror ÜB. , The rails which the Government gave County Council have arrived, and are beiQj* landed as quickly as the limited resource* of the place in the matter of lighters v 1 allow. ct The fire was a blow to us, but it is la being recovered from. Buildings are fa* *priuging out of the ashes. All we want make the place a great success is peopl e 0 tUe right Bort. There will be great inducements held out presently to the small capitalist. There are considerable works in hand by the County Council.
