THAMES GAS COMPANY.
The half-yearly general meeting of the sharelolders was held yesterday, in the office of \lr. F. A. White, Shortlaud atreefc, —Mr. C. F. Stone in the chair. The minutes of the ast half-yearly general meeting were read ind confirmed. The balance-sheet for the aalf-year was read, and shewed the total eceipts for the half-year to be £1762 Is 2d, )f which amount £IGSO was received for gas. deducting expenses, a balance remained ;o the credit of the company of £750 12a sd. rhe chairman congratulated the shareholders ipon the satisfactory results of the half-year, [t was gratifying, notwithstanding the depressed state of the Thames for some tim« Daat, to be able to declare a dividend of la Gd >er share, which was equivalent to 4 per cent, tie begged to move the adoption of the report, Vtr. Leighton seconded the motion, which vas carried. This concluded the business.
