She will bring from that port a number ol prize cattle from the late agricultural show, which have been purchased for consumption in this market. Mean. Cruiclcshauk and Co. received a telegram yesterday to the effect that the s-s. Hero left Sydney for this port on Monday, at 5 p.rc., and is, consequently, due on Sunday night, or early on Monday. Wβ are informed that the barque Victoria left Newcastle on Saturday list for this port, with a cargo of ISO tons of coal, to the order of Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane. The distinguished party consists of Lieutenant Baron Von Erhardt (officer in charge), 21 Naval Cadets, a sailor and steward of H.I.M. ship Hertha. The dues payable in this port are as follows; 6d per ton on vessels other than colonial trading vessels and coasters; Id on colonial trading vessels, and Id per ten on coasting vessels. ■ The Manultan dues arc now made exactly the same a> Auckland. At Kaipara, Hoklanpa, Mongonui, Wangaroa, Bussell, and Wangarei coasting vessels will pay Jd per ton, excepting those from any port in the North Island to the north of a line drawn from Kawau Island to the South Head of Kaipara Har--bour. At the Thames—Vessels other than colonial trading vessels and coasters, 3d per ton; colonial trading vessels, 2d per ton; coasting vessels, excepting those arriving from ports within that portion of Bauraki Gulf to the south o'. a line drawn from Cape Colville to Wangaproa Peninsula, Jd per ton. At Taoranga, Poverty Bay, Napier, and Wairoa, the following are the rates :—Vessels other than colonial trading vissels and coasters arriving through Cook and Foveaux Straiti, or south of Stewart's Island, 3d per ton; colonial vessels arriving through Cook or Foveaux Straits, or south of Stewart's Island, 2d per ton. Coasting vessels, excepting those arriving from ports north of a line drawn from Kawau Island to the South head of Kaipara harbour, or from ports on the East Coast of the North Island, between Cape.
