MAKETU (NEAR DRURY).
The annual meeting of the Maketu Presbyterian congregation was held iu tlie schoolroom, at the close of the usual monthly evening service, on the 30th January—the Rev. T. Norric in the chair. Mr. I). Brisbane, treasurer, submitted his report for 1575, from which it appeared that the following sums had been received : —Stipend fund, £8 9s 2d ; building fund, £5 lis 4d; schemes of the church, 7s lid; Dayspring fund (collected by Miss Douglas), 9s : total, £li ,17s oil. The Sabbath-school, under the care of the .Misses Kerr, wan reported as being attended by 30 scholars, and taught by four teachers. Suggestions were made with the view of increasing this attendance, and tluvuks were expressed to the Sabbath-school teachers, committee, and collectors, and to Mr. Morgan for conducting a monthly ser r vice. The Managing Committee were re)elected, —viz., Messrs. D. Elder, Townsend, F. Mander, and D. Brisbane.
