NEW ZEALAND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
; A meeting of the above Society was held at Otahuhu on Monday last. About 10 members were present.—W. Goodfcllow, Esq., took the chair, and the minutes o£ last meeting having been read, were confirmed. Correspondence.—A letter wes received from his Honor the Superintendent, stating that instructions had been given to the Inspector of Sheep to exercise the utmost vigilance in order to prevent the introduction of diseased aheep.—The Secretary said that he had written to the Racing Club, forwarding a copy of the resolution passed regarding the amalgamation of the Cattle and Industrial Shows. Cattle Snow. —The Cattle Show Committee reported that the arrangements connected with the forthcoming exhibitions were progressing favourably. They also stated that a dinner would be provided on the ground. Resignation, etc. —The resignation of Mr. F. C. Claude, as Vice-President of the Society, was accepted ; and Wm. Goodfellow, Esq., was elected to his place. The Secretary was instructed to obtain reports from the Agricultural Society ef England and other kindred Societies.
