RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Feiday. [Before Thomas Beckham, Esq., R.M.] The usual weekly sitting for the hearing of email debt claims was held this morning, and the following business disposed of:— Judgment pob Plaintiffs.—W. Atkin v the New York G.M.C., £9 18s 6d. Wilson v. Siege of Paris G. M. 0., £3 6s od. ADJOUBNED:-Feltus v. Price, £3 183 Hawkeford v. Solomon, £5. Gallagher and Paul, v. Campion £8 12s 6d. Green Harp G M. Co. v. Brady, £11 53. The same v' Braneton, £8 2s 6d. Wilson v. Jeffrey, £17 2s. Defended.—Marshall v. Horsey. Claim £2 10s. Thii was a claim for the use and occupation of a dwelling-house. The defendant admitted that a sum of £1 10s wae due. His wife was called to prove that, on the 26th of November last, she paid the plaintiff two half-sovereigns. She had mislaid the rentbook. The plaintiff said he would give her credit for the money paid. The plaintiff denied the defendant's statement positively. The daughter of the defendant corroborated her mother's statement as to the payment of the two half-aovereignß. His Worship was of opinion that the plaintiff must have been mistaken, and gave judgment for plaintiff for £1 10s.
