Clerk or the Scales: Joseph Ffighlcy, Esq. FIRST DAY. 1. SrAIDEN PLATE of 10 sovs.: for all horses that have not won an advertised prize. Distance, one mile and a half. Weight for Entrance fee, one sov. 2. THE HAMILTON CUP HANDICAP. A cap witli 20 sovs. added. Distance, two miles. Entrance fee three sovs. Entries, accompanied

with 1} sovs., to be made to tho Secretary, on or before noon of the 10th February, ]S7>. Weights will be declared on the 21st February. Acceptance to be sent in with balance of entrance money, on or before 27th February. 3. I) URDLE RACE of 12 sovs. Welter weight for age. Twice round the course, over eight flights of hurdles 311. (Jin. high. Entrance fen, one sov. i. LADIES' PURSE of 15 sovs. Two miles. W cite- weight for age. Gentlemen riders. Entrance fee, one and a half sovs. 5. SETTLERS' STAKES of 15 sovs. Weight for age. One mile and a half. For horses bona fide the property of settlers, and trr.inod in the Wivkato for one month previous to the day of entry. Entrance fee, one and a half sovs. 6. PONY RACE of 10 sovs. Distance, one mile Top weight, nine stone for ponies not exceeding 14 hands: 71bs. allowed for every inch under. Entrance fee, one sov. SECOND DAY. 1. DELTA STAKES of 10 sovs. Weight for age. Distance, ore mile. For horses bona lidc the p- operty of settlers, and trained in tho Waikato for one month previous to the day of entry. Entrance fee, one sov. 2. THE CUP HANDICAP, being the gift of tho Wi'-kato Steam Navigation Company, with :!0 sovs. added from the funds of the Waikato Jockey Club. Second horse to receive 5 sovs. out of the added money. Entrance fee, four sovs. Distance twice round the course and a distance. Entries accompanied with one sov., to be made to the Secretary on or before noon of the 10th February, 1872. Balance of entrance on the night before lirst day's racing. Weight to bo decided on the night (!) p.m.) of the first day's racing. 3. SELLING STAKES of 15 sovs. Distance, one mile and a quarter. Horses entered to be sold at £40, to carry welter weights: to be sold at £.'lO, allowed Tibs.; to be sold at £20, allowed Hlbs.; to bn sold at £10, allowed 211bs. Entrance fee, one and a half sovs.

4. HURDLE RACK. A Handicap of 20 so vs., twice round the course, over right flights of hurdles 3ft. din. high. Entrance fee, two sovs. The Handicap for this race to be declared at 9 o'clock on the night of the first day's racing. 5. CONSOLATION STAKES. A Handicap of 10 sovs.. for all beaten horscH. Distance, one mile. Entrance fee, one sov. 0. HACK RACE of 10 sovs. Distance, one mile Weight, 9 stone each. No horse that has run in any of the previous races, or bceu trained for any race at this meeting, will be allowed to enter. Post entries. Entrance fee, one sov. 7. MAORI RACE of 5 sovs. Mile heats. Horses to be owned and ridden by Maoris. Catch weights. Post entries. Entrance fee, five shillings. CONDITIONS OF THE AVAIKATO TURF CLUB ANNUAL RACES, 1572. The printed rules of the "Waikato Jockey Club as to the laws of racing will be strictly adhered to.

Rules and Regulations. 1. No entries will be received for any of tho races except upon these conditions : That all disputes, objections, claims, and complaints arising out of the racing shall be disposed of and decided by a majority of the Stewards of the Waikato Club Meeting, whose decision ; on all matters connected with the programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be made to the Secretary of the "Waikato Club, with entrance money enclosed, with name, age, and pedigree of horse, name of owner, and colors of rider, on or before noon of the 20th day of February, 1872. Any jockey riding, except in jockey costume and in colors entered, will be fined ono sovereign. 3. All protests must be in writing, accompanied with the sum of two sovereigns, and if the protest be not sustained, the amount will be forfeited. 4. No second money will he given unless specially mentioned. 5. The horses to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint. C. No horse will be allowed to run unless the owner is a subscriber of at least one sovereign to the race fund, excepting in the Hack and Maori Races. 7. Two horses to start or no race. 8. Any person riding on the course during ft race will bo fined one pound and expelled from the course. 9. No private match allowed without the consent of the Stewards. By order of tho Committee.
