I 1 cannot help remarking and congratulating the Go- ' vermjient on the good achioved to the Mount Kdon ' and lower gaol by throwing both into one, and 1 appointing as Governor, Mr. Tuekwell, a gentlemanly, £ intelligent, quick discerning mail—tho manin the right place. "Wait-a-Bit," instead of doing an injury to such a responsible department, has assuredly done good. Consequently it must bo admitted " Wuit a- ] Bit" at timos turns out well. Thero is no rule t without an exception. r Tho Province of Auckland has " waited-n-bit" to t select a Council, but " Wait-a-Bit" has called out t 'luperior excellence. ]' As for our worthy Superintendent, though last not v least nothing more or less can be said but to make r use of tho superlative degree which express's tho f' highest degree of excellence which wo hive attained t( to ia unanimously appointing Mr. Whitaker. lam si a woll-wisher to " Wait-a-Bit" when it turns out p well.
