Gladys Leslie, the "Girl with the Million Dollar Smile," is the star of "It Happened to Adele," a. fine Pathe play to be shown with the new programme at Everybody's. Adele is the daughter of an actress who has fallen upon had times. Adele, .by a. quite extraordinary accident, gets an engagement as a chorus girl, and then by the use of a clever advertising dodge, she gets right into the public eye. She is loved by two men, an opera composer, and a steady, capable business man. The working out of the romance is full of surprises. The story contains genuine peeps behind the scenes. The stage scenes in themselves are most interesting. Gladys Leslie is charming in the chief role, and she has splendid support in the shape of dainty Peggy Burke, who acts the part of the level-headed chorus girl.
