The proposed Ti am ways die to be constructed on a 4-foot gauge and aie to be run on se\ eral loutes, namely — 1. THK MAIN ROUTE —Intending from Newtown Park to the Government Railway Station thiough Mansfield-street, Re\ ans-sticet Sussex-square, Kent-tei race, Courte nay-place, Manners-street, Wilhs-street, and Lambton Quay to the Railway Stataon. Or by a deviation at the' intersection of Manners-street with Cuba-street bv lines running through Cubastreet Extension, Jervois Quay, Customhouse Quay, Ballancestreet (or Whitmore-street) and Featherston-street to the Railway Station The above streets w ill be traversed bv a double route and in conjunction w ith this route a. single line, with passing places, \\i\\ be laid along Vivian-stieet and Cuba-street to the intersection of Manners-street The other branches will all connect with this Main Route and are — (a) From the Borough Boundarv at Oriental Bay running through the Oriental Bav-road and Clvde Quay joining the Main Route at Cour-tenay-placc. (b) From Coromandel-street in Con-stable-street, along the latter street joining the Main Route at Riddiford-street. (c) From the Borough Boundai-v on Adelaide-road, and through Ade-laide-road, Luxford-street and Rintoul-stre-et. joining the Mam Route at Revans-street.
