Number of Male Adults 82 Ditto Female ditto 81 Ditto Boys and Girls under 14 years of age 75 Total 255 Total arrived 552 Amongst the Male Adults are Farm Servants, Labourers, Sawyers, Gardeners, Blacksmiths, Carpenters, Joiners, Millwrights, Masons, Bricklayers, Shoemakers, anil individuals of various trades. The Females are chiefly Farm Servants, Dairymaids, and Domestic Servants. REPORT of a Deserter from the 80th Regiment of Foot, at Auckland, New Zealand. Name— Hunky Fildes, Private. Age—23 years. Size—s feet 6§ inches. Description of person —Make or form, rather stout and smart; head, oval; face, thin ; eyes, grey ; neck, short ; hair, light brown; shoulders, square; and active appearance. Town or Parish where born—Manchester, county Lancashire. Former Trade or Occupation—Labourer ; and employed lately by the Military, as one of the Boat’s Crew. Date of Desertion—7th September, 18'12. Place of Desertion —Auckland, New Zealand. Dress at the time of Desertion—Supposed a large pea jacket and regimental black trousers. Bears the marks of corporeal punishment received in New Zealand.
