TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1864. NOTICES OF MOTION. Mr. Krxo to more, That message No. 14 and its enclosures be referred to a Select Committee, consisting; of Messrs. Cheeseman. Harrop, J. O’Meill, Webster, and the merer.” Mr. Ca. u let ox to move, “ That the resolution of Council, namely, 'That the principle of Ministerial responsibility to this Council for the conduct of public affairs should he established in the Executive Government of this Province,’ be reconsidered.” Mr. Cabman to move, *• That the petition of John William DMdams be referred to-the Private Grievance Committee.” Mr. Gallaggher to move, That the petition of John Ilall be referred to the- Private Grievance Committee.” Mr. Skebx to more, *' That the petition of Mrs. Andrewartha be referred to the Private Grievance Committee.” Mr. Wrxx to move,. “ That the report of the Supremo Court Accommodation Committee be adopted.” Mr. Wtnx to move, “ That a respectful address be presented to his Donor the Superintendent, requesting him, with as little delay as possible, to provide the necessary accommodation for the Supreme Court, pending the erection of a permanent Supreme Courthouse, at a cost not exceeding £1,000.” Mr. Harrop to move, “ That message No. 17 of his Honor the Superintendent he referred to a committee consisting of Messrs. Bu'kland, Cheeseman, Kerr, Kiug, Martin, McGee, Newman, Dr. Pollen, and Wynn.” Mr. Harrop to move, “ That motion No. 13, as agreed to, be forwarded, by way of address, to his Honor the Superintendent.” Mr. Foley to move, “ That an address be presented to his Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to send down to this Council the amount of salaries paid to emigration agents in Great Britain from February last up to the present time.” Mr. Wvnn to move, “ That a respectful address bo presented to his Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to forward to this Council the originals or copies of the pay abstracts and receipts of all officers of theGovernment, in respect of any extra pay they may have received in excess of their salaries.”
Mr. Gallaugtiek to move, “ That a respectful address be presented to his Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to send to this Council copies of all reports of the Engineer-in Chief on the alterations in, and the additions to, the old wharf at Onehunga; and also copies of his reports on the proposed new wharf at Onehunga, be laid on the table of this Elouse . with as little delay as possible.” —(Friday, October 21-) ORDERS OF THE DAY.
