The New-Zealander. PUBLISHED DAILY.
AUCKLAND, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 1863. GENERAL CAMERON'S DESPATCHES.
Be just and fear not; Let all tlie ends thou aim’st at, he thy Country’s Thy God’s, and Truth’s.
Oub readers will find a re-publicalion of the New Zealand Gazette of the 14th, in another page. It is entirely occupied with Despatches from General Cameron (and Enclosures) to the Governor, giving authentic details of the recent affairs at Pokeno and Cameron-town. The narrative of that brave and able soldier Color-Ser-jeant McKenna will be read with much interest. And we are glad to perceive that Corporal Ryan has been brought under notice for the devoted gallantry and kindly constancy with which he remained to the last by Captain Swift.
