manner therein mentioned to appoint fit persons to be Coroners of the several districts of the Colony of New Zealand, and from time to time to define the districts within which such Coroners shall respectively have jurisdiction, and every such definition to revoke or amend, and the limits of such districts to alter as occasion may require, Now therefore, I, Ihomas Gore Browne, the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the said power and authority, do hereby define the District of IVaipulcurnv, in the Province of Hawke’s Hay, to bo all the territory comprised within the limits following, that is to say:—On the North, by a finedrawn from Taumata-a-Makurn in the Kuahine range due East to the junction ot the Mangatauri stream with the Tukitnki, thence hy the South bank of the Tukituki to its junction with the Mokokariki stream at Hawca. thence by the South bank of the Mokokariki to Te Tuhi, thence by a right line to Matahuia on the Manawarakau stream, and thence by Manawarakau to the sea. On the East by the sea. On the South by the boundary of the Provinces of Hawke’s Bay and Wellington, and on the West hy the Kuahine range, being the boundary of the Provinces of Hawke’s Bay and Wellington. By His Excellency Colonel Thomas Gouk Browne, Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander in Chief* in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice Admiral of the same, cSIC., &c., &c. MARLBOROUGH MILITIA REGULATIONS I)\ virtue and in exercise of the authorh ) in me vested by the Militia Act, 185J and the Militia Act Amendment Act, 1860, Thomas Gore Browne, Governor of the Colon of New Zealand, do hereby make and issue ti following orders for the regulation of tl Marlborough Battalion of Militia:— L Ihe Marlborough Militia District sha not he divided, but the Militiamen rcsidcr therein shall constitute one Battalion. -■ Bitch Battalion shall he divided into thrt classes. 3. Iho first class shall consist of all ut married men and all widowers without childre between the ages of sixteen years and fort years, both inclusive, who shall be called th first class service men. The second class sha consist of all married men and widowers wit children between the same ages, who shall b called second class service men ; and the thir class shall consist of all men between the age of forty years and fifty-five years, who shall b called the reserve men. 5. The men of the several classes shall b formed by the Senior Officer of the Battalioi into one or more Company or Companies, in having regard in such formation to secure, ai far as possible, contiguity of ievidence of tin men in each Company.
