-——— « ANNUAL BKPOBT. ■'• The following is the annual report of the Papakaio lied Cross Guild:— At a'meeting of ladies held in the hall i on September 27th, 1915, a local branch of the Oamani Bed' Cross Society was, formed. At the November meeting it was decided to join the North Otago Bed Cross Society with Oamani as centre. A gift auction was held in October, the proceeds of which were -£3 l 10/ M. Other subscriptions, sales, and monthly subscriptions amount to till i:i/-, making a total of £63 IU/IJ. ■A local branch of, the Oamaru Bandaguc League was formed on December !Hh. a commilti'i' nf six young Indies being formed, wilh Miss Ethel Norton as lion, treasurer. The membership of this loajnie now numbers twenlv-eisrht. which is most satisfactory. The subscriptions and donations to the league to the end of May amount to £8 7/15. The work of the guild for -the nine months was: ol' shirts, ;>8 pyjamas, 08 pairs socks, 17 uiulervcsts, 78 handkerchiefs, ' 10-1 pillow slips, o4 towels, 0 pillows, :! hot water bags, .'(5 fomentation cloths, ;j:i diet cloths, 1!) pairs cull's, IU bedjackets, .10 pairs slippers, !)' scarves, 144 face cloths, 12 balaclavas, 7 cholera belts. S pairs mittens,' ;>!)o swabs. 2.j pairs bed sox, 12 drawsheets, S5 service bags, !l diossiug gowns, 12 food covers, U tins Keating's Powder, sponge bags, ice bags, sheeting, old linen; total, .121)4 articles. The work of the Bandage League was HI! nianitail bandages, 70 T bandages, 88 roller bandages. The meetings have been held in the hall, and thanks are due to the hall coinmil lee' for the frw use of same. A jumble sale is to be held in September, for which all members are busy working.
