Following is Mr Batea' weather summary ami forecast:— A westerly depression lias been displaced (luring the past thirty-six flours by tlic centre of an anti-cyclone in the south, the. winds backing from,northwest to south-east with changeable and showery conditions, A storm area uppears to be developing-to northwestward of the Dominion.,
"Present''indications are for strong southeasterly winds, bucking to easterly in and northward of Cook Strait, ami north-easterly winds elsewhere. Expect cloudy and misty conditions generally, will) rain probably following in the course of \ day or two. The barometer, will fall everywhere soon.
