The Kaiapoi, which has 1000 sacks of Government wheat for this port, is due from Dunediu this morning. . The Comma is expected this evening from Duucdin, to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. The steamer Lord Erne is at present on the loading berth in Sydney fur Boston' and Now York, via Panama Canal. Should sullii'ieiit inducement be offering, the vessel will probably tome across to New Zealand to load for America. ■
Latest advice's state that the Commonwealth ami Dominion liner Nqreliana hnluc to leave London on February 17 for Melbourne, Sydney and N wcastle. The Star of India "is exported to leave New York about tlio middle of next'month for New Zealand, via the .Panama Caiial, Sydiyiy ami Brisbane. The world's largest liner (the Valerland), owned by .the llamburg-Aiuerika Company, which lias'remained'u refugee steamer in New York harbour since the outbreak of the war, has had an attachment placed on her by the United Stales Court at the instance of Messrs Waring and Gillow, the London firm (stales tlio Daily Post). The furniture and decorations of the liner were ■supplied by Waring and Gillow, and they were lilted at Hamburg by English workmen. The balance of the company's account had not been paid when war was declared, and there being reports that tlio German Company' was trying to sell the liner, Messrs Waring, and Gillow took the action staled.
