The Times'' lins made stonily, progress.... , .Actuated by a desire,to supply the country residents ■with their morning ]>fi]ior by breakfast time, tht> management inaugurated the motor delivery services,.and the efforts of }ho Com; jinny are much appreciated, The Company's motor makes n dully journey in a southerly direction as far as Maheno and Knknniii, and the daily morning paper is'delivered along the route, A motor also runs out to Ardgowan, and "The Times" is distributed in that district, Another motor—the 2f> h.p. Maxwell motor car—runs out. to Ngapara mid ou to Island Cliff and 'foliarnhi. The car proceeds to Diintroon, delivering copies of "The Times" along the route. From Diintroon the motor car journeys on to Kurow, nud at tljnt township taps a very large and important district, Froin- Kurow the car runs back to Oamnru through Duntrooii, Pnpaknio, ami'Pukcmi,' Every day."The Times" is published, this'cur covers a distance of ninety-seven miles, and along the whole route copies of the morning'pnper ar'e distributed'." "•:-'; ■ Further enterprise has been undertaken by'the'.Company. For some years the settlers at Five Forks, Balruddery, and Knuroo Hill have keenly felt their isolation; ■ They have had to tolerate an irregular'mail service, and worst of till they have not been able to obtain the daily delivery of "The Times." The management of "The Times" came to their assistance, and after negotiations, on Wednesday evening an agreement ■ was signed between the North Otago Times Company, Ltd., and the settlers, "The Times" new service'will open up n very wide strotch of country, and will enable the settlers in the places mentioned above to enjoy the boon of a daily paper, while the Company will cniue to their assistance'and make a ilajly delivery- of the settlers' corre : spondeuce, and also carry the oulward correspondence ■to the' central'' Post Oflice n't Oamaru.

Ihe Company has engaged the services of Mr J. E, Ylm\, nf Wellington, who will undertake the tlinrougli-organisa-tion of the various delivery services, Mr FfrOst joins the services of Ihe Company, bached up by excellent recommendations, and having the advantage of many years of experience in similar work to that he has undertaken here'. During • the next niniilh or so, Mr Fl'rost will have pleasure in falling iipnnoiir subscribers; and will be glad to do every thing possible to ensure the early and regular delivery to all parts of the town and district of "The North Of ago Times."
The efforts of the.management are bearing good results, and "The Times" is being widely read and extensively circulated, wilh the inevitable increase in the advertising value of its columns,
