Mr Dennison, representing Nottingham on. the-Advisory County, Cricket Committee, affirms that as a result of inquiries in Nottingham and several other leading counties he found that tho tyisition in|jregar<]i to- lAustraKa'g invitation was acquiescence ,with tho Marylobono Club's proposals, notiapprovd. Both-had been at cross purposes throughout,.the Marylebono. Club promoting the triangular contests under tho idea that this was tho strong .wish of the counties, and tho latter acquiescing in iho boliof that they were obliging tho. Marylebono Club. One thing' was certain, says Mr Dennison, that >thcro is practrph'lly a unaiiSmous feeling that if only ono -team comes to England in 1909 that' team should bo an Australian'one.
