Sir,— Wo have much pleasure in givinf the following testimonial : — We have . one of your machines in our work-room constant vie for the past two years, i during that period it has not required iin 1 repair whatever. Wo found it would do any kind of woik, stitching the finest muslin equally ns well as it would a carpet. J. Bui.lkid & Co, COPY OF REPORT.

Melbourne Intornational Exhibition, 11th -April, 1881. To J. Cosmo Newbp"y, Esq., Superintendent of Juriei and Awards. Sir — According to your instruction! wo have made a practical test and thorough examination of the following sewing machines, viz., the Bradbury, firinnno Nabalis, Wheeler and Wilson, Jones and Co., Johnson, Clark and Co., Werthoim, and the Davis, and the results of «>ur experiments »ro sot forth in the tabulated statement attached. Wo find that the Hradburv (Cramer withdrawn), Grimme Nabalis, Werthehn, and Jones, allof the Singer type and similar in construction, and should be olassed in the •amc order, The Wheeler and Wilson differs In construotion, but the results of our experiments are similar to the former named. The Standard, of Messrs Johnson, Clark, and Co., is the only machine inhmitted (except the Pavi^) with a radial shuttle movement, and therefore worthy of the consideration of the jury. An regards the Davis, we cannot but agree with the jurjHhat it is very superior to any of the others, and went through every test to our entire aatisfhc tion. We therefore beg to recommend that the machines be placed i.* the following order — FAMILY * T ACHJNEvS.
