Consols have declined to 101£. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotations : b'ive per Cent. 1040 Loan, 104 ; Five per Cent. 1889 Loan, 104£; Four-and-a-half per Cent. 1879-1904 Loan, 103. The bank rate of discount lomainsat 3 per cent., and the market rate has fallen to 2£ per cent. Adelaide wheat, ex. warehouse, has advanced to 54s 6d ; Now Zealand ditto, remains at 51s ; Adelaide flour, ox store, 37s Gd. Australian tallow — Best beef, 455; host mutton, 425. The total stock of tallow in London on the Ist inst. was G3OO casks. The latest intelligence to hand with regard to the loss of the steamships Douro and Aruracbat states that 46 persons have lost thoir lives by the disaster.
