DALGETY & CO.'S WOOL CIRCULAR. London, 24th June, 1865.

The public sales of Colonial Wool, winch commenced on 11th May, clo->e this evening. The quantity that has been catalogued and sold is as follows : —

About 5000 bales of Victorian wool have been held over. Notwithstanding that the English clip of wool is said to be light, and that the late of interest is low, we cannot speak of any geneial improvement upon opening rates Piimo Victorian flocks in tho grease have shown symptoms of recovery, and in some cases have brought March rates. Stout coai&e combing hasj also been in better demand, but indifferent wool, either as to quality or condition, is difficult of sale at the decline established last month. South Austialian and Tasmani.m are without alteiation. Swan River are lower than la«t year, but prices realised are still satisfactory. New South Wales wools of pi ime quality have met a good demand, but without alteration in price ; but low qualities, both of fleece .and hand-washed, havo expei if need a further decline. In New Zealand wools, stout combing fleeces have sold lelatively well : the decline does not "exceed M to Id per lb, but the quantity has been modeiate, the bulk of the clip having arrived too late to be offered in this series. The quantity of th« clip of 1834-5 that has already passed into the hands of consumers, the large purchases tor foieign account, good prospects for harvest, low rate of interest, and to some extent the recent advance in cotton, wairart the expectations of a good trade demand in August, unless affected by ciicumstances not now fort seen. The next series of public sales are fixed for the 17th of August.
