Rifle Shooting

The Kaitaia Defence Rifle Club held a championship shoot at 800 and 900 yards on Saturday, and in spite of a tricky cross wind some excellent scores were registered. C. Bowman, for the third successive week, headed the list with 95, and with three other riflemen scoring 94 the standard of shooting was probably one qf the highest seen in the Club at the long ranges. The “self-handicap” spoon was won by I. McKinnon with a gross score of 100. Scores off the rifle were : 800 900 Total C. Bowman 47 48 95 F. Tracey 46 48 94 F. Sands 49 45 94 R.
