SPORTS CANDIDATE BENEFIT Saturday afternoon was open day on the bowling greens in aid of the Sports candidate in the Popular Girl Contest, and proved an outstanding success. Approximately £l6 was painlessly extracted. The many ladies who took part in the draw soon showed to advantage with their intelligent interest, deftness of touch and unerring eye, that could the regular members make the same rapid improvement they would soon be in championship class.
