Takahue W.I.
The November meeting of the Takahue Women’s Institute was held in the hall on Tuesday last, Mrs. H. Sanders presiding. The roll call was “ An insect and its life history.” A vote of thanks was accorded Mrs. Warner for a gift of a cloth for the
dinner wagon. A bring and buy was held for institute funds. Pennies for friendship were collected. Results of the competitions were as follows: Bloom—Mesdames Masters and Warner 1, Mesdames Kitchen and Dixon 2; white shoulder spray— Mrs. Quarterman 1, Mrs. Dixon 2; potatoes—Mrs. Quarterman 1, Mesdames Carr and Dixon 2; machinemade article—Mrs. Sanders 1. Games were won by Mesdames Crene (2) and Warner. It was decided to have a bran tub at the December meeting. Competitions for December will be: Article for hospital; tray cloth, oven cloth, or bib; bloom, vase of flowers; Christmas novelty; three plain scones. Hostesses for December will be Mesdames Irving, G. Wright, and McCullough.
