Basketball

The opening tournament for basketball teams will be held at the High School court on June 3rd, all teams competing. Play will begin at one o’clock at which time all teams must be present. The draw for June Bth is: Kaitaia v. Old Pupils. Old Pupils v. High School A. High School A v. Kaitaia. High School B and C teams a bye. A.A. Pictures to be shown at Oruru Owing to alterations to the Mangonui Hall, the Automobile Association pictures which were to be shown there will now be shown at the Oruru Hall on the evening of May 29th. * * * Alteration to W.I. Programme At the meeting of the Northland District Federation of Women’s Institutes held on May 22, it was decided to delete the Drama Festival from the year’s programme. Another decision was that a competition for the Biannual Show in November should be changed from a soldier's holdall to one pair of mittens.
