The following- is a summary of Group averages for all cows tested during April by the Northland Herd Improvement Association (Inc.) : MANGONUI DISTRICT Kaeo-Takahue Group Group average—47l cows, 293 lbs milk, 6.4 test, 18.6 lbs fat per cow. Highest herd—37 cows, 480 milk, 5.6 test, 26.8 lbs fat per cow. Highest cow—44 lbs fat. Kaitaia-Awanui Group Group average—lo3s cows, 296 lbs milk, 6.5 test, 19.2 lbs fat per cow. Highest herd—4s cows, 416 milk, 6.6 test, 27.3 lbs fat per cow. Highest cow—sl lbs fat. Kaingaroa-Houhora Group Group average—lo6s cows, 307 lbs milk, 6.2 test, 19.1 lbs fat per cow. Highest herd—44 cows, 404 milk, 6.6 test, 26.8 lbs fat per cow. Highest cow—s 3 lbs fat. District Summary Average—2s7l cows, 300 lbs milk, 6.4 test, 19.1 lbs fat per cow.
