DAIRY COMPANY NOTES

The advance rate against February butterfat supply of the Kaitaia Dairy Company has been fixed at first grade. The total advances for the season, to the 31st January amount to £90,726 in comparison with £71997 for the corresponding period of the previous season, an increase of £18,729. The output at the Company’s Factory for the month of February was 231 tons, an increase of 13.8% when compared with February of the previous season. The output for the season to the end of February totals 1402 tons, as against 1487 tons for tbe corresponding period of the previous Season, a decrease of 85 tons which is equal to 5.7%. During the past two months there has been a large increase of production over that of January and February of last season, and if this high production continues, it is probable that the decline in production during the Spring months will he overcome and the output of the factory reach the record figures of last season.
