TRANSPORT AUTHORITY MEETING

A sitting of the No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, consisting of Messrs. W. Jones (chairman), A. C. L Yarborough and F. A. Jones, was 9 held in Kaitaia yesterday, Thursday. A. B. Wells was granted a license for a passenger service between Peria and Kaitaia via Fairborn. J. Shaw was granted a passenger service license from Kaingaroa to Kaitaia via Awanui, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The operator is not allowed to pick up and set down passengers or parcels between Hutley's corner at Awanui, and Kaitaia.

The transfer of the passenger service license, Kaitaia to Herekino, from R. Dysart to K. Williams, was granted. R. J. Bowman was granted the right to carry two passengers on his goods service between Herekino and Kait aia on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. G. Meurant of Broadwood was granted a license for the cartage of timber and housebuilding plant and materials in the Mangonui and Hokianga counties.
