Mrs. E. C. Matthews is away on a holiday trip in the south. Mr. and Mrs. G. Manaton, of Wellington, are visiting Kaitaia. Mr. Kyle, of the Otiria railway station staff, spent last weekend at Awanui. Bennett, of A wanui, was off tha service run this week, on account of the flu. Miss Lorraine Reed was married to Mr. Willis Switzer at Kaitaia on Wednesday. Constable Buckley was in Auckland at the beginning of this week on police business. Mr. Edward Isaacs of Te Kao left on Monday for Rotorua to take part with natives from all parts of New Zealand in a welcome to the Duke.
