Wedding of Miss C. Marshall
A wedding of local interest eventuated at Kaingaroa during the holidays, the contracting parties being Arthur Donnelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Meenan of Kaingaroa, and Christobel Allan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Marshall of Otorohanga, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. W. H. Nicholas. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pink frock, with a white hat to tone, and carried a dainty bouquet of pale pink roses, sweet peas and carnations. The bridesmaid, Miss Laura Stanich of Kaikobe, was dressed in pin! organdie with hat to match, her bouquet of pink and white flowers. The groom was supported by his brother, Mr. Sidney Meenan, as best man. A reception was held after tho ceremony in Long’s Hall nt Kaingaroa which was most tastefully decorated for the occasion, the inevitable dance following when about one hundred couples participated. The happy couple spent their honeymoon at Ahipara. Mr. and Mrs. Meenan will make their home at Kaingaroa.
