New Year's Dance at Kaitaia

Last Monday night, New Year’s Night the A. and P. Hall, Kaitaia, was the nucleus of the dancing constellation of all the surrounding districts, when the Catholic Church Building Committee held a gala dance. Seldom in the past has such a largo assembly danced cn such a perfect floor to the invigorating strains of the Versatile Orchestra, materially assisted by Messrs Bob Somerville Jack Ford, and Cedric Harrison who supplied the extras. As M.C., Mr. Jack Brewer displayed skill and decision in his handling of the programme. The winners of the Monte Carlo waltzes were as follows Mrs. A. G. Horsley and Mr. T. Sturmfels, and Miss W. Ilollay and Mr. S. Johnson. The Lucky Hat dance was won by Miss U. Albrighton. Supper served during an interlude was appreciated by a*ll.
