A MIS-STATEMENT
Sir.—l would draw attention to a gross mis-statement by your correspondent, Mr. E. R. Bird, in your issue of 27th November, wherein he states: “We are getting something new in that such public institutions as the Plunket Society are being debased into electioneering organisations.” The local Plunket Committee has been particularly careful to avoid anything savouring of politics, and would therefore ask Mr. Bird either to withdraw or prove his statement. Yours, etc., F. M. RIX, President Kaitaia Plunket Committee.
