AN ACQUISITION TO THE HOUSE
The following is an extract from a report appearing in the New Zealand Observer ot the 14th instant.
The lone representative of the Country Party in Wellington's House ot Talk, Capt. H. M. Rushworth, made a strong impression on Auckland Rotarians, when he dealt with the “Problems of the Primary Producers” last week. He is one of the few speakers, who, having exceeded the time limit, met with regret only from his audience when he finished. That bears out his Parliamentry reputation as one of the ablest and most logical speakers in the House, a man who amongst other gifts can take the skin opponent—yet do it in such a way that no animus remains. He is a man of analytical mind and an omnivorous reader with a retentive memory. Certainly he has proved a decided acquisition to the House.
