KAITAIA LIBRARY

At a meeting of the Town Board held on the Ilth instant, it was decided that the following gentlemen be appointed as a Committee for the Kaitaia Library: —Messrs. W. Berridge, W. C. H. Wigley, F. H. S. Matthews, H. Bedggood, W. R. Grigg and L. Clark.

The Board advised these gentlemen who were present at the above meeting, that they had paid off the library overdraft at the bank, a sum which was approximately £66. Portion of this amount was provided by the rental received from the Hall, the deficiency being made up by a grant. The aforementioned committee will be solely responsible for running the library, whilst the Town Board will undertake the letting of the Hall, advising the committee lrom time to time, what sums have been received and are available for the purchasing of books.
