AMBERGRIS
It is reported that a young Austrian but three months from his native land, recently found a piece of ambergris weighing roughly 27lbs.
The locality of the find is sjflfled to be on the Ninety DVde Beach near the Waipap turn in. It is stated that the quality of the ambergris is not good as it is soft and not fully matured, an expert on the subject estimates the value from 5s to 7s 6d an ounce.
