Classification Completed Right of Appeal Given Speaking of the work ot the classifiers of the Kaitaia Swam<s Drainage Area Mr H B Matthews statee that being the ratepayers appointee he felt it, his duty to say a few words ,on the work which was now completed Mr Sutherland was the Government appointee and the first thing they did was to inspect all outlet drains and the outfall generally of the area. Mr Sutherland was greatly impressed with the need for the spilLvav. Both saw the difficulty of classifying with only three classes and realised that it may cause hardship on some. Ihe classification

fist will be forwarded to the lands office at a later date where it will be open for inspection, and owners of land will have the right of appeal against any classification made.

Mr Matthews stated that the Area was practically the same as the previous classification but B Area had been cut down considerably relieving to some extent the Eastern part ot the flat.
