Thanks to the untiring efforts of Mr W Vickers and Mr J N Berghan reinforced by the Public Works Departmen t there is now a through metalled roil to Hirekino Irom Kaitaia. This event was duly celebrated tu fine style recently at Herekino where members of the County Council and Colonel Bel 1 M.p. were in attendance. Tne social function was a gteat success and the road is equally so.
