Parliament, and the actual reproduction of the members’ voices, idiomatic expressions, style of delivery, and debating methods showed how kindly, after all, is the Press in its treatment of politicians. The Press, for instance, quotes Mr. A.B.C. as follows Mr. A.B.C. remarked that the Bill was a great benefit to the country and humanity in general and he thanked the Government. Broadcasted version of Mr. A.B.C. “’Ere am h’l in this Youse fer ter say on behalf o' me constitooents that h'l am proud and ’appy to be in this Youse while this ’ere bill is being put throug this Youse. And the Press says of Mr. X. Y. Z„ M. L. A. Mr. X.Y.Z. alleged the Minister was not telling the truth. Broad cast version: The Minister is a liar !!! Order! Order 1 Liar! Order! Liar! Withdraw!
