SALE REPORT
AT K AITAIA on 11 th October, the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-operative Ltd., held their monthly sale, when a big yarding of young cattle, numbering fully 800 head, was offered, and the bulk of which changed hands. The attendance of buyers was good, outside districts being well represented, and the competition for cows, cows and calves, heifers and steers was particularly keen. Beef cows realised from £lO 10s. to £l2 15s. Big steers £ll 10s. to £l2 10s. 2}/ 2 year steers £lO to £ll 10s. 2 year 2 year steers £9 10s. to £lO 10s. 18 months to 2 year do. £8 to £9 15s. Yearlings £6 10s. to £7 15s. Weaners £3 I Os. to £5 15s. Low conditioned store cows £4 lOs. to £6 lOs. Better quality do. £7 to £9 lOs. 2 year heifers £7 to £8 lOs. 12—18 months heifers £6 to £7 lOs.
A good yarding is expected for November, when a number of buyers from outside districts will be present.
