The Karawa Enquiry.

AUCKLAND, This day.

The enquiry into the circumstances attending the damage to the after boiler of the s.s. Earawa on May 27th whilst on a voyage from Onehunga to New Plymouth is proceeding. Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., is President of the Court and Capt. W. J. Heed and Mr. F. W. Blaikey (Marine Engineer) are the assessors. Messrs. Maeindoe (chief engineer), Price (second engineer) and Smallbone (third engineer) have been examined and the enquiry has been adjourned till Friday next.
