Licensing Committee Election.
The election of five persons to form the Licensing Committee for the Bay of Islands Electorate will take place on Tuesday, 9th March next.
Mr. H. C. Blundell is the Returning Officer and is now appointing Deputies and selecting Polling Booths.
One of our Southern correspondents gives the announced and probable candidates as Messrs. W. H. Saies, G. F. Dickeson, F. Mackenzie, G. Wilkinson, J. M. Reid, T. F. Hartley and T. M. Lane.
Among those mentioned in this County as likely to seek election to the Bench are Messrs. H. C. Powell, W; R. Grigg, and R. T. Wrathall, but at the time of writing there is some doubt as to the intentions of these gentlemen.
