The Markets.
HOKITIKA.— Januaby 19. Flour is firm—Adelaide, £16 10s. ; Canter- ' bury, £14 10s. Oats, 3s. 6d. to 3s. 9d. Bran, Is. 6d. Potatoes scarce, home grown, £12. Cattle sale at Ahaura last week — 64 head were sold at £8 19s. per head for average weights. CHRISTCHURCH.— Januaby 19 Quotations are unaltered. Flour has fallen to £12. New oats are quoted at Is. 9d. There ' are a few transactions in old oats at from 2s. 3d. to 2». 4sd. English advices quote Canterbury butter at from 50s. to 68s. There is a steady demand for the West Coast, and rates are unaltered., Cheese and bacon ure also unaltered, but the' stocks of the former are falling low, DUNEDlN.— Januaby 19. The flour market is brisk. Trade lots are in demand at £13. Millers brands' are low. There is no bran or pollnrd. Wheat is scarce, and good sorts are worth ss. to ss. 3d. Outs are dull at 2s. to 2s. 2d. Malting barley is saleable at 2s. 9d. OAMARU.— Januaey 12. Stocks of old wheat are exhausted, and the new is not yet ready. There is no barley. Oats are brisk, feeding oats being worth Is. lOd. Flour is £12 10a. to £13 ; pollard, £4 ; bran, 3a.
