GRANT TO ROAD BOARDS.

The Select Committee appointed to inquire into and report upon the expenditure of the sum of £-±,SOO, apportioned to this province out of the sum of £50,000 voted by the General Assembly to be divided among the ftoad Boards of the colony, beg to submit the following report: — That your Committee cannot question the desirability of opening up the various districts on winch his Honour the Superintendent has recommended the expenditure of the £-1,800 for the current year, but are at the same time of opinion that the interests of the other outlying districts, which are at present languishing for the means of opening up their roads, appear to have been overlooked, and should be considered in the scheme for the apportionment of the next annual paytqent.
