TELEGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE. Christchurch, June 18, 4.8. p.m.
The steamer Claud Hamilton, arrived from the North on Saturday afternoon, and sailed immediately with the out-going English mail. The news from Auckland is very threatening. The natives are said to be contemplating an attack on the Waikato and Tauranga settlements. The overland mail from Hokitika brought no tidings of Mr. George Dobson. The mining news is satisfactory.
