TO CORRESPONDENTS. Want of space prevents us this week from in- ■ sertiog a letter from Mr. Fox, containing remarks on an article in a late number of the New -Zealand Gazette. Ah Old Colonist is assured that we reluctantly postpone his communication for the same reason. The letter of Mr. G. White should hare had a place if we could possibly have ipared room for it We have received a- letter from Mr. M*Glabhan, ■fcompirfimng 0f our "remarks last week win flax. Mr. OTGlashan'is die Owner of the small flax-mill trt the top of the Waimea Road, -and he appears 'to imagine that whaftre said was calculated to do him mischief. -'Such was. certainly not our intention. We have before borne testimony to Mr. M'Glashan's perseyerance, and should be glad to see him receive the recompense of his labours. We certainly spoke of Ryder's null as being the more complete one, and there can be no doubt of the fact. If Mr. M'Glashan can compete in quality and price with Ryder's, he will not want encouragement.
