AIR FORCE SPORTS TEAMS RUGBY UNION PRESIDENT’S REMARKS He had been asked by the station C.O. ( Wing-Cffmmander Giles) to express thanks to the union and to club representatives for the help given the Air Force teams, said Sgt. Doherty, at last evenings meeting of the Nelson Rugby Union’s management committee. Replying, the president. Mr D Max. assured Sgt. Doherty that the union appreciated all good football turned on by the Air Force teams. The cricket and other sports teams fielded by the station would also be missed in Nelson and particularly the station band.
