ANZAC DAY SERVICES

CITY CEREMONY TO-MORROW MORNING The Nelson Anzac Day Memorial Service will be held to-morrow morning at the Church Steps , commencing at 10 o’clock, when the speaker will be Mr B. J. Jacobs, of Palmerston North, Dominion President of the N.Z.R.S.A. The service will be preceded by a parade j of returned servicemen and service- ! women, Army and Air Force units and j local organisations. The parade will move off at 9.45 o’clock from the Post j OC.ce, marching to the Church Steps j via Trafalgar street. In the event of j rain the ceremony will be held in the 1 Majestic Theatre. A wreath will be I laid on the South African Memorial, j Queen’s Gardens at 9.5 a.m. by South African veterans.
