ARRIVE TO-MORROW

LARGE DRAFT FROM OVERSEAS arrangements made for RECEPTION A large draft of men returned from the Mediterranean theatre of war will arrive in Nelson to-mor-row morning. The Arahura will berth at 7 o clock and detailed arrangement* have been made by the Army authorities for the reception of the men. Over 70 men are expected for the Nelson district and in addition there will be over 50 Marlborough men who will proceed to Blenheim aft*** breakfast.

Admittance to a special enclosure will be limited to near relatives and next of km on production of official telegrams. Those officially welcoming the men will be Lieut.-Col. A. J. Moore. N.Z.S.C. Area Commander, Captain H. G. Wil liams N.Z.T.S. Area Staff Officer. Captain W. P. Morgan, M.8.E., N.Z.P.S. Area Quartermaster, the Mayor. Mr E. R. Neale. the president of the R.S.A.. Mr U. R. L West, and the chairman of the Nelson City Patriotic Committee, Mr A. H. Crawley. Two bands will be in attendance, the Band of the Ist N.M. and W.C. Regiment, and the Nelson Pipe Band. Special traffic arrangements have been made by the Army in conjunction with the civil authorities. As in the cose of previous drafts, country men will be conveyed to the Fight-

ing Services Club for breakfast and then to the Nelson Hospital for X-ray examination and will be medically boarded. Special arrangement* have been made by the Harbour Board to decorate the wharf and boy scouts will help, acting as escorts and carrying light baggage.
