CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC POWER

i To the Editor I Sir.- May I add a few words to my last letter regarding electric power charges? The letters by * , A.T.L.'' and "K.V.A." ventilate the unfairness of the charges still further. The Waimea Electric Power Board Engineer in his remarks did not explain why there should be so much difference between the City and»Tahupanui in charges for power. Perhaps he will be good enough to explain why 22 units in the city cost 4s lOd and at Tahunanui 7s 9d. The difference, to say the least, is unsatisfactory. The slogan “don’t crowd the towns" is useless when one is penalised for living outside. I appeal to consumers in districts where charges appear unfair, to get moving and not sit down to it.—l am, etc.. ‘DISSATISFIED.’' Tahunanui. 27th Sept.
